Outreach Family Support
Reaching out to families in the community
Our Outreach Family Support Program extends our services beyond the shelter walls, reaching women and families who may not be ready to leave their homes but need support and resources.
This program includes:
- One-on-one support and counselling
- Safety planning in the community
- Advocacy and accompaniment to appointments
- Connection to community resources
- Ongoing support and follow-up
Family Violence Prevention Education
Educating the community to prevent violence
Prevention is a key part of our mission. Our education program works to raise awareness about family violence, its warning signs, and how to access help.
Educational offerings include:
- School presentations for youth
- Workplace seminars
- Community awareness events
- Purple Ribbon Campaign during November
- Information resources and materials

Every November, we join communities across Canada in the Purple Ribbon Campaign to raise awareness about family violence prevention.
