Whether you're ready to leave, need information, or just need someone to talk to, our trained staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Recognizing Abuse
Abuse can take many forms. You may be experiencing abuse if your partner:
Physical Abuse
- Hits, slaps, punches, or kicks you
- Throws objects at you
- Prevents you from leaving
- Threatens you with weapons
Emotional Abuse
- Constantly criticizes or humiliates you
- Controls where you go and who you see
- Threatens to harm you, your children, or pets
- Makes you feel worthless or afraid
Financial Abuse
- Controls all the money
- Prevents you from working
- Gives you an "allowance"
- Runs up debts in your name
Sexual Abuse
- Forces you into sexual acts
- Ignores your refusal
- Treats you as a sexual object
- Uses intimidation or guilt

Together, we create a safety plan tailored to your needs.

We provide shelter, support, and resources based on your needs.
Safety Planning Tips
Even if you're not ready to leave, having a safety plan is important:
- Know your exits – Identify escape routes from your home
- Pack an emergency bag – Keep important documents, medication, money, and clothes in a safe place
- Memorize important numbers – Crisis line, trusted friend, police
- Tell someone you trust – A friend, family member, or co-worker
- Create a code word – To alert others you need help

What to Bring to the Shelter
If possible, try to bring these items. But don't delay leaving if it's not safe to gather them.
Documents
ID, health cards, birth certificates, custody papers, immigration documents
Medications
Prescriptions for you and your children, glasses, personal care items
Money & Keys
Cash, bank cards, keys, phone and charger
Your safety is more important than any belongings. Leave immediately if you're in danger.

Is it confidential?
Yes. Our location is confidential and we never share your information without your consent.
Can I bring my children?
Absolutely. We welcome women with their dependent children and have space to accommodate families.
What about my pets?
We have a pet program and understand that pets are family. Contact us to discuss arrangements.
What if I'm not ready to leave?
That's okay. You can still call for support, information, and safety planning. We're here when you need us.
Is there a cost?
No. All of our services are completely free and confidential.
